This invention is constructed by placing the top rails of two vertical blind- configurations, wherein the slats are of the same length in each of the two blinds, together along the long edge. (Note that these vertical blind configurations are currently available for purchase in many stores and are now commonly used in this country.) The vertical blind-configuration, consisting, as just described, of two standardly available vertical blinds being joined along the long edge of the top- rail, is modified from the standard vertical blind-configurations which are presently available for purchase, and which presently consist of only one row of slats, by including the following changes: -1- The slats of both of the two joined blinds, when the blinds are fully opened across the window, and when the slats are « fully » opened, (that is, when the face of all slats are positioned at a ninety degree angle to the window glass --- that is, when all slats are perpendicular to the window glass (or, in other words, when the face of the window-glass and the face of each slat) would appear to convey the shape of an « L, ») THEN, IN THIS POSITION, the slats of the row of blinds closest to the window ('A' ) are NOT directly in back (that is, their surfaces do NOT form a straight line; that is, the face of the window glass and the face of the two slats do NOT form a configuration similar to: <<I-->> wherein the << I >> represents the face of the window-glass, and what is drawn above as the first of the two a << _ >>figures, being the one closest to the << I >>( and appearing also as the left-positioned << _ >> of the two << _ _ >>) and wherein the other << _ >> (that is, the << _ >> on the extreme right side of the drawing), represents a slat in the row of slats closest to the inside of the room.
