A double walled con-tainer comprising an inner container having a sidewall (52) and a base (54) connected thereto, and an outer container (1) having a sidewall (2) and a base (4) connected thereto and arranged to accommodate the inner container, whilst defining a gap therebetween. The sidewall (2) of the outer container has a securement re-gion, which is formed to have a smaller diameter compared with the diameter of the sidewall (52) of the inner container. The inner container may take the form of a filled bever-age can (90), which is sealed by an end (70) seamed thereto and is sub-sequently inserted into a larger outer can during the final stage of produc-tion.

Cette invention concerne un récipient à double paroi comprenant un récipient interne à paroi latérale (52) et base (54) reliée à cette paroi, et un récipient externe (1) à paroi latérale (2) et base (4) reliée à cette paroi, conçu pour recevoir le récipient interne; un espace vide est défini entre les deux récipients. La paroi latérale (2) du récipient externe comporte une zone de fixation dont le diamètre est plus petit que le diamètre de la paroi latérale (52) du récipient interne. Le récipient interne peut prendre la forme d'une canette remplie (90), qui est scellée par une extrémité (70) et est ensuite insérée dans une canette externe plus grande lors de l'étape finale de production.
