In a method of producing a double-walled structure, such as a silencer for use in a ventilation duct system, use is made of an arrangement having a forming head (5) for forming helically-wound lock-seam tubing (2). In the forming head (5), a perforated metal strip (7) is helically wound together with an air- permeable cloth strip (13) such that the tubing (2) fed out of the forming head (5) has an outer cover of said cloth (13). The tube assembly consisting of the perforated tube and the cloth cover is provided with an outer tubular layer of insulating material and then inserted in a casing which makes the silencer complete.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'une structure à double paroi, telle qu'un silencieux destiné à un système de conduit de ventilation. On utilise un dispositif doté d'une tête de formage (5) permettant le formage d'un tube agrafé (2) enroulé en hélice. Dans la tête de formage (5), une bande de métal (7) perforée est enroulée en hélice avec une bande de tissu (13) perméable à l'air de telle façon que le tube (2) quittant la tête de formage (5) est doté d'un revêtement extérieur constitué de ce tissu (13). L'ensemble tube, constitué du tube perforé et du revêtement de tissu, est pourvu d'une couche tubulaire extérieure en matériau isolant puis inséré dans une gaine. On obtient ainsi un silencieux complet.
