The invention relates to a dowel (1) for lightweight building materials which comprises on its outer surface a self-cutting thread (3) and at its tip a cutting edge (2) with which it can be screwed into a gypsum plaster board. At the end opposite the tip the interior opening of the shank has a hexagonal cross-section (8), with a contiguous area (7) in which a screw can cut itself its thread. For screwing in the dowel the area (10) of the bit that is actually designed for engagement with the chuck of a driving tool is used as the hexagonal area somewhat projects from the chuck so that it can engage with the hexagonal recess (8) of the dowel sleeve.
L'invention concerne une cheville (1) pour matériaux légers, qui présente, sur sa partie extérieure, un filetage (3) autotaraudant, et, sur sa pointe, un élément de coupe (2), avec lequel elle peut être vissée dans du placoplâtre. A l'extrémité opposée à la pointe, l'ouverture intérieure de la douille présente une section (8) à six pans à laquelle est rattachée une zone (7) de l'ouverture intérieure dans laquelle une vis peut tarauder son trou. Pour visser la cheville, on utilise une zone (10) de l'embout de tournevis destinée véritablement à l'insertion dans le mandrin d'un outil d'entraînement, étant donné que cette zone à six pans fait saillie hors du mandrin de telle sorte qu'elle puisse s'insérer dans le creux (8) à six pans de la douille de cheville.
