A choke mechanism comprising a housing having at least one housing port, a decreasing radius inner sleeve, the inner sleeve being disposed radially inwardly of the housing and the decreasing radius in conjunction with the housing defining an increasing dimension flow path, the inner sleeve further including a sleeve port to communicate the flow path with an axial flow conduit and a drive system associated with the inner sleeve capable of rotating the inner sleeve to align a desired section of the increasing dimension flow path with the at least one housing port.
