A system for reducing pressure drop associated with turbulent fluid flow through conduits located in remote locations (e.g., deep under ground and/or deep under sea). Such reduction in pressure drop is accomplished by transporting a drag reducer through a long conduit of small diameter and thereafter injecting the drag reducer into a host fluid at the remote location, to make a treated fluid. The treated fluid is then extracted from the remote location via a production/transportation conduit. The presence of the drag reducer in the treated fluid reduces pressure drop associated with flow through the production/transportation conduit.

L'invention concerne un système destiné à réduire une chute de pression associée à un écoulement de fluide turbulent à travers des conduits situés dans des endroits isolés (par exemple, bas-fond terrestre et/ou bas-fond marin). Une telle réduction de chute de pression est accomplie en transportant un réducteur de frottement à travers un long conduit de faible diamètre et par la suite à injecter le réducteur de frottement dans un fluide hôte à l'endroit isolé afin de préparer un fluide traité. Le fluide traité est alors extrait de l'endroit éloigné par une conduite de transport / production. La présence du réducteur de frottement dans le fluide traité réduit la chute de pression associée à l'écoulement à travers le conduit de transport / production.
