A safety system (100) for controlling the activation of one or more downhole tools (112) by providing selective transmission of an activation signal or an energy stream. The transmission of the activation signal or the energy stream is allowed after the tool (112) has passed below a known pre-determined depth. The safety system includes a first device (100A) in fixed relationship with the downhole tool (112) and a second device (100B) fixed a stationary location. The first device (100A) permits, after reaching the pre-determined depth, an initiation signal to reach an initiation device (114) associated with a downhole tool (112) or the energy stream to reach the tool (112). The second device (100B) positively engages the first device (100A) to provide an indication that the specified depth has been reached.
L'invention concerne un système de sécurité gérant l'activation d'un ou de plusieurs outils en fond de trou par transmission sélective d'un signal d'activation ou d'un flux d'énergie. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, la transmission du signal d'activation ou du flux d'énergie est autorisé après que l'outil ait dépassé une profondeur connue déterminée.
