A hydrocarbon-soluble drag-reducing suspension is described, along with a process for manufacturing the drag-reducing suspension. The drag-reducing suspension is easily transportable, non-hazardous, easily handled, and provides a significant increase in drag-reducing capability over existing products. The drag-reducing suspension is manufactured by grinding an ultra- high molecular weight polymer in the presence of a grinding aid and mixing it with a with a suspending fluid.
L'invention concerne une suspension réduisant la résistance soluble dans les hydrocarbures ainsi qu'un procédé de fabrication de cette suspension. La suspension réduisant la résistance est facilement transportable, inoffensive, facilement manipulable et représente une amélioration sensible des capacités de réduction de la résistance par rapport aux produits existants. Pour fabriquer cette suspension, on broie un polymère à masse moléculaire ultra-haute en présence d'un adjuvant de broyage et on mélange ce polymère avec un fluide en suspension.
