ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A drain clearing device which effectively employs water pressure to clear a blocked drain where the drain opening is submerged or relatively inaccessible. The drain clearing device comprises a drain sealing member of resiliently com- pressible material attached to a water supply device having a pipe with a side arm for coupling to a water hose. A plunger valve is mounted in an end of the pipe remote from the sealing member and when activated allows water pressure to clear the blocked drain.
