Drain Fitting with Detented Open Position Abstract of the Disclosure A drain fitting of the type which is opened by grasping and manually raising the closure member has a sleeve attached to the underside of the closure member that is slidable along a stem within the fitting as the closure member is traveled between the open and closed postions. A ball and spring detent acting between the sleeve and stem engages automatically when the closure member is raised to the open position to hold the closure at that position without further motions or effort by the operator.
