DRAINAGE AND WET STRETCH IMPROVEMENT IN MECHANICAL PULPS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The drainage and wet stretch properties of mechanical pulp are improved by cooking the mechanical pulp under controlled conditions so as to permit greater use of mechanical pulp in newsprint.
