The present invention provides a sealing device and method for removing air and/or water collected or located behind a panel system while inhibiting the entry of water from the exterior environment into the area behind the panel system. The sealing device includes a body member, a sealing member movably disposed in a passage in the body member, and a retaining member to hold the body member in the passage. The sealing device is received in a weep hole in the panel system.
