DRAINAGE-PERMITTING EXPANDABLE PLUG FOR PIPES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: An apparatus for use in draining the inlet and outlet pipes and related devices of a pool is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a plug having a longitudinal axis, a first end and a second end, with the first end of the plug being adapted for insertion into the ends of the pipes. A passageway in the plugpermits fluid communication between the first and second ends of the plug. A hollow tube member extends outwardly from the passageway at the second end of the plug and when in use extends generally vertically above the plug to the ambient atmosphere so as to allow fluid communication between the ambient atmosphere and the interior of the pipe in which the plug is inserted.
