An adapter member (36) for a microscope (12) cooperates with a universal microscope drape having a universal positioning member (38). The adapter member (36) is detachably secured to a lens housing (14) of the microscope (12) in tandem with a lens unit (16) located in the lens housing (14). The adapter member (36) is free from connection with the lens unit (16) and can be installed without disassembling the lens housing (14). The adapter member (36) is threaded to the lens housing (14) and the adapter member (36) has a universal engagement portion that is engageable with the universal positioning member (38) of the universal microscope drape.

Un élément adaptateur (36) pour microscope (12) fonctionne conjointement avec un champ de microscope universel doté d'un élément de positionnement universel (38). Ledit élément adaptateur (36) est fixé de manière libérable à un porte-lentille (14) du microscope (12) en association avec une lentille (16) placée dans le porte-lentille (14). Cet élément adaptateur (36) n'est pas connecté à la lentille (16) et peut être installé sans qu'il soit nécessaire de démonter le porte-lentille (14).
