ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improved drawdown machine for applying a colour coating to a receptor sheet is disclosed in which an ink bead (19) or colouring agent is evenly distributed over the receptor surface (20) e.g. a sheet of paper (5) by pulling the paper (5) through a nip formed between a bed surface (1) and a bar (3).
