DRAWER CONSTRUCTION ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A drawer construction includes a bottom panel, a rear wall, and a pair of sidewalls, which are rigidly interconnected to define a box-shaped core assembly having an open forward end. The core assembly is modular to construct either a box drawer, an 8-1/2 x 11 file drawer, or an A4 file drawer. To construct the box drawer, a box head is mounted in the open forward end of the core assembly. To construct either of the file drawers, a file head is mounted in the open forward end of the core assembly, and a rear extension is mounted upstanding along the rear wall. A pair of 8-1/2 x 11 side extensions are connected with the resultant file assembly to complete the 8-1/2 x 11 file drawer, and a pair of A4 side extensions are connected with the file assembly to complete the A4 file drawer. Preferably, the rear extension, as well as the 8-1/2 x 11 and A4 side extensions, are detachably fastened in place, such that the drawer construction is also readily convertible between the 8-1/2 x 11 and A4 drawer configurations. -30-
