A standardized furniture unit in which a drawer moves in a longitudinal direction and has a plurality of closed positions, having a first slide element attached to a stationary panel, the drawer having a shell, a second slide element attached thereto The first and second slide elements are coupled together and move relative to each other, one of which is provided with at least one set of a plurality of mounting holes aligned along the longitudinal direction. Each of the mounting holes in each set corresponding to a different drawer closed position, and one of the mounting holes in each set is aligned with a standardized slide element mounting point in either the stationary panel or the drawer shell. The unit may comprise a lock mechanism attached to the stationary panel, with the drawer provided with a plurality of lock bays aligned along the longitudinal direction, each corresponding to a different drawer closed position and selectively engaged with the lock mechanism, the drawer lockable in each of its closed positions. The drawer shell may have a side panel in which a groove is provided which extends in the longitudinal direction. A hat-shaped insert is mounted in the groove and is attached to the shell outside of the groove. A slide element is disposed in the hat-shaped section to minimize the space required between the drawer side panel and the adjacent panel. Opposing side panels of the drawer may be provided with a file support rail having a file support extension made of a first material and a tip made of a second, softer material.
La présente invention a pour objet un élément de mobilier dans lequel un tiroir coulisse dans une direction longitudinale vers une pluralité de positions de fermeture et comportant un premier organe de coulissement fixé à un panneau stationnaire, le tiroir comportant une enveloppe à laquelle est fixé un deuxième élément de coulissement. Les premier et deuxième éléments de coulissement sont couplés l'un à l'autre et se déplacent relativement l'un à l'autre; l'un des deux éléments de coulissement comporte au moins un jeu d'une pluralité de trous de montage alignés dans une direction longitudinale. Chacun des trous de montage de chacun des jeux correspond à une position de fermeture distincte du tiroir, et un des trous de montage des chacun des jeux est aligné avec un point de montage d'un élément de coulissement standard, soit dans le panneau stationnaire, soit dans l'enveloppe du tiroir. L'élément de mobilier en question peut être doté d'un mécanisme de verrouillage fixé au panneau stationnaire, le tiroir étant pourvu d'une pluralité de baies de verrouillage alignées dans une direction longitudinale, chacune de celles-ci correspondant à une position de fermeture différente et sélectivement mise en engagement avec le mécanisme de verrouillage, le tiroir pouvant être verrouillé dans chacune des positions de fermeture. L'enveloppe du tiroir peut comporter une paroi latérale dans laquelle une rainure est pratiquée dans une direction longitudinale. Un insert à profil de chapeau est inséré dans la rainure et fixé à l'enveloppe du tiroir à l'extérieur de la rainure. Un élément de coulissement est disposé à l'intérieur de la section à profil de chapeau pour minimiser l'espace nécessaire entre la paroi latérale du tiroir et le panneau adjacent. Les parois latérales opposées du tiroir peuvent être dotées d'un rail de support pour chemises de classement avec rallonge fabriquée d'un premier matériau et rebord fabriqué d'un deuxième matériau plus résilient.
