23724-168 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A drawer having two sides, preferably of metal, which have on their lower edge means to support the drawer bottom, wherein the means to support the drawer bottom consist of profile rails that are secured on the sides and have accommodating grooves that are open towards the interior of the drawer, to receive the drawer bottom with a positive fit. The profile rails may include: additional guide pieces and/or retainers for roller or ball- bearing guide systems or with detents that are transverse to their longitudinal axes, and/or detent recesses. The profile rails are preferably produced as one piece from plastic or metal.
