ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Weft thread drawing carrier for a weaving loom with continuous weft feed has a carrier body formed at one end with a weft thread gripping hook defining a stationary jaw and an elongated member, mounted on the body for oscillation about its own axis, this oscillating member having a jaw formed at the other end to cooperate with the stationary jaw. A finger pro- jects laterally of the elongated member and a leaf spring, of which one end is secured to the body, presses the finger and, in turn, causes rotation of the elongated member to bring the movable jaw into clamping engagement with the stationary jaw.
