ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A drawout switchgear characterized by a circuit interrupter unit movable into and out of a cell between disconnected and connected positions of stationary primary terminal means supported in the cell and on said unit, retractable second contact means engageable at an inter- mediate position between the disconnected and connected positions, and a levering-in mechanism for moving said unit between disconnected, intermediate, and connected positions of said terminal and contact means, the levering-in mechanism comprising a cam having a slot of two segments one of which has a higher mechanical advantage and the other for moving the unit into the connected position.
