Abstract OF THE DISCLOSURE A dredging device comprised of a device having buoyancy, an arm or ladder, movably connected to it, which arm by means of cables and winches can be moved to and fro according to certain path, the said arm at its outer end being provided with a cutter which can be driven, as well as with the suction mouth of a suction pressure conduit, the pump of which being connected to the arm or within the arm, the said pressure conduit extending along or through the arm up to the floating device, characterized in that the arm consists of interconnected sections the lower section of which carries the cutter head, the pump and the drive motors and the upper section of which, being performed as support section, provided with means with the aid of which said support section and therewith the entire arm is suspended to allow swinging and shifting in the vertical direction within guides of the floating device and that the cables for the lateral displacement of the lower end of the arm extend from winches along the arm up to or close to the lower section and from there via guide sheaves in at least three different directions towards anchors.
