The present invention is directed to a continuous portable dredging system that employs a series of screens (58, 62, 66, 70) and gravity separation devices (142, 146) including flocculation with a flocculent (130) to remove sediments from the dredged slurry. The system produces a treated water stream (170) having low solids content and a recovered solids (174) product having a low water content.
