A drilling/chamfering tool comprises a body (2), which has a bit location and a cutting insert (5) serving as the chamfering tool, and comprises a drill bit (3) which has a diameter (D) and which is held inside the drill bit location in a manner that enables its length to be varied. The drill bit also comprises: flutes (8), which spiral no more than 25~ relative to the axis (A) of the drill bit (3); a coolant duct (10), and; a contact surface (7) against which the cutting insert (5) rests with a contact length (AL).
