The invention relates to a drill rod for a down-the-hole hydraulic drilling apparatus. A problem in this technological field is that when one detaches the drill rods, the hydraulic fluid used to drive the down- the-hole drill flows out of the drill rod. The invention solves this problem by a construction where the coupling means (6) between the rods include closing means (6c, 6d) which close the hydraulic fluid transmitting paths (7a, 7b) when the rods are detached and automatically open the paths when the rods are connected to each other. The closing action is achieved by means of auxiliary power such as a pressurised medium, spring power or the like.

L'invention concerne une tige de forage conçue pour un dispositif de forage souterrain. Un problème posé par la technologie actuelle réside dans le fait que le fluide hydraulique de forage s'écoule hors de la tige de forage lorsqu'on la sépare de l'ensemble de forage.
