The invention relates to drilling device (1) with a rotating tool comprising a drilling machine (8) and lubrication means (26). According to the invention, the device comprises: - an intermediate chamber (18) for storage of chips (20) produced during an elementary drilling operation; - introduction means (46), for introducing the chips into the intermediate storage chamber (18) during the elementary drilling operation, the introduction means being designed so as to operate other than by generating an airflow; - a main chamber for storage (18) of chips (20) communicating with the intermediate storage chamber (18); and - scavenging means (30, 38), capable of generating an airflow scavenging the chips present in the intermediate chamber (18), towards the main chamber (42).
