Disclosed is a drill for hard materials, comprising webs that are subdivided by means of cutting grooves, and at least two principal cutting edges (1), each of which is provided with a cutting corner (2) and a transition to a chisel edge (5). At least some sections (101a) of the principal cutting edge (1) are continuously convex in an axial direction (A) starting from the cutting edge (2).
