A drinking vessel has a cup-shaped top and a base with a stirrer motor. Its base is a monolithic plastic component having a lat- eral wall with a switch, a top wall with an annular groove, and a mount for the stirrer motor on the underside of its top wall. The bottom edge of its top engages said annular groove, providing a detachable union.
