DRIP CHAMBER WITH BACKFLOW BALL VALVE Herbert Mittleman ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A flexible plastic drip chamber for use in an administration set. The lower section of the drip chamber comprises a floating pressure-sensitive ball valve. The ball valve responds to the pressure of priming and the pressure of the liquid introduced into the administration set. The ball valve includes a ball and a resilient valve seat. The valve seat has a resilient portion which extends axially inwardly gor contact with the ball and is shaped to provide substan- tially line contact along the surface of the ball with the resilient portion being peripherally free to enable inward flexing thereof.
