A drive device for a vehicle, constructed from an engine, a generator/motor, a battery, and a power generation device. The engine produces drive force for the vehicle. The generator/motor is connected to the output shaft of the engine and also to a drive wheel. The power generation device generates electric power by using combustion exhaust gas of the engine, and the generated power is accumulated in the battery. When the output of the engine is below the output required to drive the vehicle, the generator/motor receives electric power from the battery and assists the output of the engine. When the vehicle is braked and when the output of the engine is above the output required to drive the vehicle, electric power is generated by the generator/motor and the generated power is charged in the battery.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de propulsion de véhicule, comprenant un moteur, un générateur/moteur électrique, une batterie, et un dispositif générateur de courant. Le moteur produit une force de propulsion du véhicule. Le générateur/moteur électrique est couplé à l'arbre de sortie du moteur et à une roue motrice.
