The invention relates to a drive device used, in particular, for the closing unit, the injection unit or for the ejectors of a plastic injection molding machine. The drive device has a drive element that can be axially displaced by an electric motor and has a hydraulic unit that can be displaced by the displacement of the drive element whereby travelling in the same direction as the drive element. Drive devices for the aforementioned uses firstly involve the execution of a rapid positioning movement followed by the exertion of large forces. In a prior art drive device having the aforementioned features, the hydraulic unit is a hydraulic cylinder that, during the positioning movement, is displaced by the electric motor via a lifting spindle, and pressure medium for exerting a large force is supplied to the cylinder via a valve. This prior art drive device requires both an electrical installation as well a complete hydraulic system. In addition, high restoring forces act upon the lifting spindle. This is avoided when, according to the invention, the hydraulic unit is a force multiplier having two pistons which can be displaced in relation to one another and whose effective surfaces are of different sizes. The hydraulic unit is also an intermediate part that encloses, with the pistons, a pressure space filled with a pressure fluid when the small piston having the smaller effective surface is mechanically connected to the drive element, when the hydraulic unit can be displaced in its entirety for effecting the positioning movement, and when, for exerting a high force by the large piston having the larger effective surface, the intermediate part can be prevented from being displaced with regard to a stationary mount.
L'invention concerne un dispositif d'entraînement, utilisé en particulier pour l'unité de fermeture, l'unité d'injection ou les éjecteurs d'une machine de moulage de plastique par injection, ce dispositif comprenant un élément d'entraînement pouvant être déplacé axialement au moyen d'un moteur électrique et une unité hydraulique pouvant être déplacée dans la même direction que l'élément d'entraînement par déplacement de celui-ci. Dans les dispositifs d'entraînement pour les applications mentionnées, il importe d'exécuter tout d'abord un mouvement de positionnement rapide et d'exercer ensuite des forces importantes. Dans un dispositif d'entraînement connu présentant les caractéristiques mentionnées, l'unité hydraulique est un vérin hydraulique qui est déplacé pendant le mouvement de positionnement par le moteur électrique par l'intermédiaire d'une vis de montée et qui est alimenté en fluide de pression par l'intermédiaire d'une soupape pour permettre d'exercer une force importante. Ce type de dispositif d'entraînement nécessite, en plus de l'installation électrique, un système hydraulique complet. Par ailleurs, la vis de montée est soumise à d'importantes forces de réaction. Selon l'invention, pour éviter ces inconvénients, l'unité hydraulique se présente sous la forme d'un multiplicateur de force comprenant deux pistons mobiles l'un par rapport à l'autre et se distinguant par la taille de leur surface active, ainsi qu'une pièce intermédiaire formant avec les pistons une chambre de pression remplie d'un fluide de pression. Le petit piston présentant la plus petite surface active est accouplé mécaniquement à l'élément d'entraînement. L'unité hydraulique peut être déplacée dans sa totalité pour effectuer le mouvement de positionnement. Par ailleurs, un déplacement de la pièce intermédiaire par rapport à un châssis fixe peut être bloqué pour permettre d'exercer une force importante par l'intermédiaire du grand piston présentant la plus grande surface active.
