Drive for a symmetrical bipolar transistor (1) or for a symmetrical bipolar transistor structure. It is provided that a balanced circuit (5; 6) is connected to the two operating electrodes (21, 22), the two balanced circuits (5; 6) being connected to one another by means of their bases and their collectors acting on inverse balanced circuits (7; 8) which supply the control current which is required to control the bipolar transistor.
