A drive mechanism suitable for the efficient transmission of an actuation force in drug delivery devices, which allows dispensing of large doses of drug and which provides an easy to use correction of a set dose. The drive mechanism comprises a plunger rod (26) having a non-circular cross section and being hollow and being prevented from rotation; a lead screw (25) engaged with the plunger rod (26) a dose setting dial (22) rotatably moving towards the proximal end during dose setting and rotatably moving towards the distal end during dose dispensing; an inner cylinder (23) being releasable connected to the dose setting dial (22) such that relative rotation between the dose setting dial (22) and the inner cylinder (23) is prevented during dose setting but is allowed during dose dispensing; and a plunger rod holder (27) which prevents the plunger rod (26) from moving towards the proximal end during dose setting, but allows the plunger rod (26) to move towards the distal end during dose dispensing.
Cette invention concerne un mécanisme d'entraînement permettant de transmettre efficacement une force d'activation à des dispositifs d'administration de médicaments, d'administrer des doses importantes de médicaments et de modifier facilement une dose déterminée. Ce mécanisme d'entraînement comprend: une tige de piston (26) de section transversale non circulaire, creuse et ne pouvant pas accomplir de mouvement de rotation; une vis-mère (25) solidaire de la tige de piston (26); un cadran de réglage (22) pouvant se déplacer en rotation vers l'extrémité distale pendant l'administration de la dose de médicament; et un cylindre intérieur (23) raccordé libérable au cadran de réglage de dose (22) de sorte que le mouvement relatif entre ledit cadran (22) et le cylindre intérieur (23) est empêché pendant le réglage de dose, mais possible pendant l'administration de la dose; et un élément de maintien de la tige de plongeur (27) qui empêche cette tige (26) d'avancer vers l'extrémité proximale pendant le réglage de la dose, mais autorise ce même mouvement pendant l'administration du médicament.
