A drive mechanism for a body (11, 12) where the body (11, 12) has a plurality of load bearing and track engaging wheels (15) that allow the body (11, 12) to move back and forth along a track (15) that comprises an actuator (18) attached to the body (11, 12) that is manually or mechanically driven, a non- load bearing drive wheel (24) that is attached with respect to the body (11, 12) so that it engages a stationary surface adjacent the body (11, 12) and a drive coupling means, (20, 22) between the actuator (18) and the drive wheel (24) wherein actuation of the actuator (18) causes rotation of the drive wheel (24) which moves the body (11, 12) along the tracks (14). The invention provides a convenient means of attaching a drive mechanism to a body (11) and (12) to enable easier movement of track mounted bodies.

L'invention concerne un mécanisme de commande destiné à un corps (11, 12) doté de nombreuses roues portantes guidées par un rail (15) qui permettent au corps (11, 12) de coulisser en avant et en arrière le long du rail (15).
