A drive-over container for storing items may be mounted on a vehicle load bed such as a pick-up truck box. A covered receptacle is mountable on the load bed floor and a lid provides access to at least a portion of the interior of the receptacle through a top surface thereof. A ramp extends from the receptacle to substantially the rear end of the vehicle load bed to facilitate driving a vehicle up onto the top surface of the receptacle. A recess in the receptacle may be provided for storing a spare tire.
