DRIVE REVERSING MECHANISM FOR THE HEADER OF A HARVESTING MACHINE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A reverse drive mechanism for the header drive of a combine harvester comprises a separate electric motor including an actuating solenoid which can be a con- ventional starter motor from a motor vehicle, a flanged bracket for supporting the motor and for supporting a shaft which carries a gear wheel driven by the motor. A chain wheel connected to the gear wheel drives the feed components of the header through a chain connected to one of the drive shafts of the components.
