A drive sprocket (12) for use with a belt module (16) having a lower surface (40), and a pocket (22) formed in the lower surface (40) having a drive surface (26) and a recessed surface (23) includes a base having an outer periphery (29) rotatable about an axis (31), and a plurality of teeth (24) extending radially from the outer periphery. Relief areas (36) formed between the teeth (24) collect particles falling from the belt (10). At least one tooth includes a drive surface (28) for engaging the module drive surface (26), and a top. Tooth sides (48) extend from said top and toward said base.

L'invention concerne un pignon d'entraînement (12) utilisé avec un module de courroie pourvu d'une surface inférieure (40), et d'une poche (22) formée dans la surface inférieure (40) dotée d'une surface d'attaque (26) et d'une surface évidée (23).
