ABSTRACT A drive system as described in copending application No. 254,314 of Borg-Warner Corporation wherein the spring discs which control movement of the movable flanges of the pulleys are formed to provide a positive driving connection. Specifically, the disc springs are provided on their peripheries with flats or chordal surfaces which provide the desired positive driving connection with corresponding flats on the drive or driven part.
