A contact arm (15) of a driving tool is provided so as to be vertically movable along an ejection path of a nose section (4) that is provided at the lower part of a tool body (2) and drives in a nail. The forward end of the contact arm is projected from the forward end of the nose section (4). In driving a nail, the forward end of the contact arm is moved vertically upward relative to the nose section (4) to effect operation of a trigger. The nose section (4) is constructed from a thin-walled wear plate (9) integrally joined with the tool body and a thin-walled driver guide (8) joined to the front part of the wear plate (9). A forward end member (17) of the contact arm (15) is placed so as to be slidable along a rear surface of the wear plate (9). An elastic contact top (18) is fixed to an outer surface of the forward end of the forward end member (17).
