A component for a printhead is created by forming a PZT wafer (1); forming a region of SU8 photo-resist material (4) on one side of the PZT wafer; sawing in a second side of said planar body, opposite said first side, actuator channels (6) to a depth sufficient to expose an area of the photo-resist material; forming a nozzle (7) through the layer of photo-resist material in the exposed area such that the nozzle is in communication with the actuator channels. The region of photo-resist material may be used to form a nozzle plate using photolithography.

L~invention concerne un composant destiné à une tête d~impression. Ce composant est créé par formation d~une tranche PZT (1) ; par formation d~une région en matériau photorésistant SU8 (4) sur un côté de la tranche PZT ; par sciage dans le second côté dudit corps planaire, à l~opposé dudit premier côté, des canaux à actionneurs (6) à une profondeur suffisante pour pouvoir exposer une zone du matériau photorésistant ; par formation d~une buse (7) à travers la couche en matériau photorésistant dans la zone exposée de manière à ce que la buse communique avec les canaux à actionneurs. La région en matériau photorésistant peut être utilisée pour former une plaque de buse utilisant la photolithographie.
