The invention relates to a droplet separator for separating liquid droplets as well as the solid matter and condensate associated therewith from a gas flow (a) brought into rotary motion. The droplet separator (1) comprises a gas flow duct (11, 13, 15) and a droplet separation tube (12) surrounding it. The gas flow duct is formed of three successive parts placed at a distance from one another in the direction of flow, which parts are a flow tube (11), a cone part (13) tapering in the direction of flow, and a continuation tube (15). The diameter of the front end of the cone part (13) is smaller than the diameter of the flow tube (11) and the rear end thereof is at a suitable distance from the continuation tube (15). Flow gaps are formed between said successive parts (11, 13, 15) of the flow duct, which gaps provide an open flow connection between the flow duct and the droplet separation tube. The outermost layer (c) of the gas flow (a) is passed through the first gap from the flow duct (11) into the droplet separation tube (12) for separating the droplets, and the gas flow made free from droplets is passed through the second gap from the droplet separation tube (12) back into the flow duct (15).

L'invention concerne un séparateur de gouttelettes conçu pour séparer des gouttelettes de liquide ainsi que des matières solides et des condensats associés contenus dans un flux gazeux (a) en mouvement rotatif. Le séparateur de gouttelettes (1) comprend un conduit de flux gazeux (11, 13, 15) entouré d'un tube de séparation (12) de gouttelettes. Ledit conduit est constitué de trois éléments successifs placés à distance les uns des autres dans le sens du flux, à savoir un tube d'écoulement (11), un élément conique (13) effilé dans le sens de l'écoulement, et un tube de continuation (15). Le diamètre de l'extrémité frontale de l'élément conique (13) est inférieur à celui du tube d'écoulement (11) et son extrémité arrière est à une distance appropriée du tube de continuation (15). Des espaces d'écoulement sont formés entre lesdits éléments successifs (11, 13, 15) du conduit d'écoulement. Lesdits espaces présentent une connexion d'écoulement ouverte entre le conduit d'écoulement et le tube de séparation de gouttelettes. La couche extérieure (c) du flux gazeux (a) est passée, à partir du conduit d'écoulement (11), à travers le premier espace dans le tube de séparation de gouttelettes (12) afin de séparer les gouttelettes. Le flux gazeux, débarrassé des gouttelettes, passant par le second espace, en provenance du tube de séparation de gouttelettes, retourne dans le conduit d'écoulement (15).
