The present invention relates to a drug delivery device for mixing and delivering a drug by injection. The device includes a housing having a first port or opening therein that receives a first container that contains a fluid or powdered drug, for example, a lyophilized drug. The housing can also include a second port or opening that receives a second container that contains a fluid to be mixed with the drug to form an injectable fluid. The device includes a manifold having a channel that fluidly connects the first and second containers. A penetrating membrane such as a needle is used to inject the drug into a patient which is in fluid communication with the first container. The needle is movable from a storage position in the housing to an injection position extending through the housing.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'administration de médicament servant à mélanger et à administrer le médicament par injection. Le dispositif comporte un logement pourvu d'un premier orifice recevant un premier récipient contenant un médicament fluide ou en poudre tel qu'un médicament lyophilisé. Le logement peut également être pourvu d'un second orifice recevant un second récipient contenant un fluide à mélanger au médicament de façon à former une solution injectable. Le dispositif comporte un distributeur dont un canal relie fluidiquement le premier récipient au second récipient. Un organe à pénétration de membrane tel qu'une aiguille permet d'injecter le médicament au patient grâce à une communication fluidique de l'organe à pénétration avec le premier récipient. L'aiguille est mobile d'une position de stockage dans le logement à une position d'injection par laquelle elle dépasse du logement.
