A method and means for delivery of drugs to the chorio-retina and the optic nerve head which comprises contact-ing the surface of the eye with an effective amount of drug for treatment of chorio-retina and optic nerve head and a physiological-ly acceptable adrenergic agent for enhancing delivery of the drug to these tissues in an ophtalmologically acceptable carrier, said adrenergic agent being selected from the group consisting of alpha adrenergic agonist agents, derivatives of the alpha adrenergic agonist agents, beta-blocking agents, derivatives of the beta- blocking agents and mixtures thereof.
L'invention porte sur un procédé et sur des moyens pour administrer des médicaments à la choriorétine et la tête de nerf optique. Ce procédé comprend la mise en contact de la surface de l'il avec une quantité efficace de médicament pour le traitement de la choriorétine et de la tête de nerf optique et un agent adrénergique physiologiquement acceptable pour améliorer l'administration du médicament à ces tissus dans un support ophtalmologiquement acceptable, ledit agent adrénergique étant choisi dans le groupe constitué par les agents agonistes alpha adrénergiques, les dérivées des agents agonistes alpha adrénergiques, les agents bêta-bloquants, les dérivés des agents bêta-bloquants et les mélanges de ces agents.
