Drugs inhibiting progress of pterygium and postoperative recurrence of the same. N-(3,4-Dimethoxycinnamoyl)anthranilic acid represented by formula (I) or its pharmacologically acceptable salt has the effect of inhibiting the multiplication of pterygium tissues and medicinal compositions containing the same as the active ingredient are useful as drugs inhibiting progress of pterygium and postoperative recurrence of the same.

L'invention a trait à des médicaments entravant l'évolution du ptérygion et sa récurrence postopératoire. L'acide N-(3,4-diméthoxycinnamoyl)anthrenilique, représenté par la formule suivante (I), ou l'un de ses sels, acceptable du point de vue pharmaceutique, a la propriété d'empêcher la multiplication des tissus constituant le ptérygion. C'est pourquoi des compositions médicinales contenant cet acide ou son sel en tant qu'ingrédient actif se révèlent des plus utiles s'agissant d'entraver l'évolution du ptérygion ainsi que sa récurrence postopératoire.
