The invention relates to a drum (1) for electropolishing bulk metal components, in particular stainless steel components, comprising a drum casing (12) made of metal and having a charging opening (13) on the housing side and a concentrically arranged cathode (3). A receptacle (2, 10) which is closed on all sides and intended for metal components forms the anode and is situated in the drum (1) concentrically at a distance (8, 9) to the drum casing (11) and to the concentric cathode (3).
