A dry base consisting of a mixture of crystallized sugar, cocoa and other ingredients and a process for its production A crystallized sugar having a mean diameter of 250 µm to 500 µm is brought to a moisture content of 55 to 12% by weight, a dry mixture consisting of a cocoa powder and other ingredients is separately prepared, after which the moistened sugar is incorporated in the dry mixture and then mixed and dried. A dry base suitable for use in automatic beverage dispensers is obtained in this way.
