ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a dry mix explosive composition which includes a bulking agent which comprises from 1 - 20% (by weight) vegetable protein additive, having a bulk density of 0.1 - 0.6 grams per cubic centimetre. It is preferred that the explosive composition have a bulk density of from 0.5 - 1.1 grams per cubic centimetre.
