A DPI device comprising a dispensing chamber (13) for receiving a discrete dose of medicament-containing powder and means for delivering said dose from the dispensing chamber to a patient in an air-flow that passes from the chamber to the patient via a mouth-piece (3) along a first air passage (4) that comprises de-agglomerating means, the device additionally comprises a second air passage (5) in fluid communication with the dispensing chamber and the mouth-piece and which by-passes the de- agglomerating means and which is located such that it receives a portion of said air-flow that is free, or substantially free, of powder.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif inhalateur de poudre sèche (DPI) comprenant une chambre de distribution destinée à recevoir une dose distincte de poudre contenant un médicament, ainsi que des moyens de distribution de ladite dose à partir de ladite chambre au patient à travers un écoulement d'air qui passe de la chambre au patient par un embout buccal le long d'un premier passage d'air pourvu de moyens de désagrégation. Par ailleurs, le dispositif comprend un second passage d'air, en communication fluidique avec la chambre de distribution et l'embout buccal, qui contourne les moyens de désagrégation et qui est situé de telle sorte qu'il reçoit une partie dudit écoulement d'air qui est exempt, ou sensiblement exempt, de poudre.
