A termination for an electric cable internally comprising, over the whole length thereof, a conductive element surrounded by an insulating body, whose lower portion is made semiconductive to form an electric shield, covered with a finned insulating casing, enclosing field control means pressed on the semiconductive coating of the insulating body; connection between the cable and the termination is made, for example, by means of a premoulded joint. The termination is completed in all its parts even before being connected to the electric cable and it does not require operations inside it for its installation.
Borne (1) de câble électrique (3), dont l'intérieur comprend, sur la totalité de sa longueur, un élément conducteur (8) entouré par un corps isolant dont la partie inférieure est rendue semi-conductrice afin de constituer un blindage électrique (12) recouvert par un boîtier isolant (14) présentant des arêtes et entourant des moyens de commande de champ (13) comprimés sur le revêtement semi-conducteur du corps isolant (11). On effectue le raccordement entre le câble (3) et la borne (1), par exemple, au moyen d'un joint prémoulé (4). On fabrique la borne (1) totalement finie avant de la raccorder au câble électrique (3) et il n'est pas nécessaire d'effectuer des opérations à l'intérieur de la borne en vue de son montage.
