A drycleaning method is disclosed. In the method, a composition that comprises at least about 85 wt.% dipropylene glycol dimethyl ether (DMM) is used. The limited solubility of water in DMM is ideal for drycleaning. The method provides good stain removal and fast drying while avoiding excessive fabric shrinkage or soil redeposition.

L'invention concerne un procédé de nettoyage à sec. Dans ce procédé, une composition contient au moins 85 % en poids d'éther diméthylique de dipropylèneglycol (DMM). La solubilité limitée de l'eau dans le DMM est idéale pour le séchage à sec. Ce procédé assure un bon détachage et un séchage rapide, et empêche le rétrécissement excessif du tissu ou la réapparition des tâches.
