Drying apparatus has a casing (12), a cavity (30) formed in the casing (12) for receiving an object, and a fan (40) located in the casing (12) and capable of creating an airflow. At least one slot-like opening (60, 62) communicates with the fan (40) and is arranged in the casing (12) so as to direct an airflow transversely across the cavity (30). The slot-like opening (60, 62) is formed between walls (54a, 54b, 56a, 56b) which are manufactured from a thermosetting plastics material. By manufacturing the walls (54a, 54b, 56a, 56b) of the slot-like opening (60, 62) from a thermosetting plastics material such as melamine, the walls (54a, 54b, 56a, 56b) of the slot-like opening (60, 62) can be moulded economically instead of machined from metal. The thermosetting plastics material is dimensionally stable when moulded, thermally resistant and impact resistant.
Le dispositif de séchage selon l~invention comporte une enveloppe (12), une cavité (30) formée dans l~enveloppe (12) et destinée à recevoir un objet, et un ventilateur (40) placé dans l~enveloppe (12) et capable de créer un flux d'air. Au moins une ouverture de type fente (60, 62) communique avec le ventilateur (40) et se trouve disposée dans l~enveloppe (12) de manière à diriger transversalement un flux d~air à travers la cavité (30). L~ouverture de type fente (60, 62) est formée entre des parois (54a, 54b, 56a, 56b) constituées d'un matériau plastique thermodurcissable. Le fait d'utiliser un matériau plastique thermodurcissable tel que la mélamine pour fabriquer les parois (54a, 54b, 56a, 56b) de l~ouverture de type fente (60, 62) permet de mouler lesdites parois, ce qui est plus économique que de les usiner dans du métal. Le matériau plastique thermodurcissable présente des dimensions stables à l~état moulé et il est résistant à la chaleur et aux chocs.
